There's a good chance most of the readers of this book will be alive in 2050. 60 years is practically within today's expected lifespan (Americans who make it to age 20 can expect to live another 56 years). And that assumes that medical technology won't be increasing life expectancy in the mean time. In fact, it's conceivable that your lifespan will be extended faster than you can live it.
